Every license includes access to HomeSafe^®, DocuPet’s free 24/7 lost pet recovery service. If a pet becomes lost, a dedicated team is available around the clock to assist in reuniting them with their family quickly and safely. 

Licensing is an important part of promoting community safety. In Oakland County, all dogs are required to be licensed and vaccinated. Cat owners also have the option to license their pets voluntarily and receive the same added protection.
