DocuPet Donates $38,000 to Ventura County Animal Services Through Safe&Happy Fund

We are thrilled to announce a $38,000 donation to support local animal welfare at Ventura County Animal Services. This significant gift was made possible via our Safe&Happy Fund, which collects automatic donations through the sale of designer license tags and direct donations made by residents.

Since launching in 2023, our partnership has made licensing easier for Ventura County residents while helping to increase pet identification and reunification services throughout the community.

The total donation includes $26,000 in direct contributions from pet owners and $12,000 from DocuPet through designer tag sales. These funds will support VCAS’s lifesaving initiatives, which help care for more than 8,000 animals annually.

“We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation from DocuPet and the support of our community’s pet owners,” said Esteban Rodriguez, Director of Ventura County Animal Services.

Donations and volunteers are critical in helping VCAS remain operational as a lifesaving agency. Pet licenses play an essential role in their work reuniting lost pets with their owners. “Pets with valid license tags often spend less time at the shelter, opening up valuable time, space and resources for other animals in need,” said Esteban Rodriguez, Director of Ventura County Animal Services.

All dogs in VCAS’ service areas must be licensed and vaccinated against rabies. Pet owners can learn more and obtain pet licenses online at vcas.docupet.com.
