Deschutes County is introducing a new and improved dog licensing experience, making it easier than ever for residents to protect their pets and comply with local laws.

Through our new partnership with the county, dog owners can now license their pets online with added benefits. Every license comes with free access to HomeSafe^®, a 24/7 lost dog recovery service that helps bring pets home faster and more safely.

Right now, only about 32% of dogs in Deschutes County are licensed. That means many pets are missing out on protections that can make all the difference in an emergency. This initiative aims to boost awareness, increase compliance, and strengthen the community’s support for animal welfare.
