Thanks to an innovative software development and pet licensing industry-exclusive offering, all pet owners across North America can now register for DocuPet. This means access to our personalizable designer pet tags, robust online pet profiles and use of our highly effective lost pet services, HomeSafe, is now just a simple registration away for every pet owner regardless of where they live.
The real power behind this solution is our address matching technology. When a pet owner registers through docupet.com, they are automatically routed to the State or Province DocuPet portal that matches their address (Ex. california.docupet.com). Here the pet owner will find information on where DocuPet’s Safe&Happy Fund is supporting animal care and control in their area and they’ll be able to take advantage of all the fun and powerful offerings DocuPet provides.
So what does this mean for pet licensing programs?
Now just imagine your jurisdiction has entered into a partnership with DocuPet for the purposes of supporting your pet licensing program. When new users sign up for DocuPet, their address will match not just into your State or Province, but directly into your locally branded and licensing equipped web portal (Ex. stanislaus.docupet.com). For all new licensing partnerships – any preexisting DocuPet users will be automatically notified that they now have the ability to purchase their license via DocuPet. This means that even on day 1 of a partnership with DocuPet, we can bring new licensees across the threshold to support your program.
Do you happen to share borders with another licensing program that frequently sees pet owners move from jurisdiction to jurisdiction and you have to deal with a let of license transfers or confused pet owners? With address matching, the DocuPet system will always assign the pet owner to the most appropriate jurisdiction. By doing so, a pet owner may maintain their DocuPet account even after leaving the jurisdiction of a DocuPet licensing partner or simply update their account and license in accordance with the local laws of the new jurisdiction if they happen to move from DocuPet partner to DocuPet partner.
